Dumplings Brunch

Backyard fundraiser for maternity hospitals in Ukraine

March 19, 2022

By cooking Ukrainian food we raised funds for medical equipment that now works to save the lives of newborns in Ukraine.

We hosted a backyard party for the local community in Culver City, CA with the goal to help the most vulnerable victims of the Russian war against Ukraine – newborns.

On the day of the event, Kulbaba team cooked over 1,000 vareniki – a traditional Ukrainian dumpling-like dish.

The menu was abundant with surprising flavor variations, from à-la-ravioli spinach-stuffed dumplings to a sweet version of the dish garnished with homemade lavender syrup.

We went above and beyond to please our guests, and they responded with keen generosity.
